James Gannon entered the financial services industry recently because of his desire to help people and his interest in finance and investing. James graduated from Stony Brook University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a concentration in finance.
James also participated in the Boy Scouts and attained the rank of Eagle Scout. This Involved learning a variety of skills from first aid to fire building to leading groups, and project management. The final challenge in becoming an eagle scout was the service project he completed, this involved raising over $1000 in order to carry out the beautification of the front garden of the St. Charles Hospice which is still there today.
James was also an employee at the Emma Clark Library in Setauket for 6 years working in several positions, starting in High school and working through his entire college career. His time there involved management of patron accounts, organization of library materials and building patron relationships
Throughout his time at Stony Brook University he was involved in several entrepreneurial ventures, including everything from purchasing marketing and reselling skate boards and head phones to helping with the founding of a chicken wing delivery business partnered with a local sports bar.
It is James' hope that he will be as successful in the financial services industry as he was with all his other pursuits in the past several years.
